Midwest Architecture Revisited

Friday, February 27, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.

In September 2008, 40 WMSC members enjoyed a nine-day bus tour of Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin, led by Bob Roden and Alan Shiels. We viewed several outstanding examples of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture, including Taliesin, Wingspread, the Robie House, the Meyer May House, and Wright’s Oak Park home and studio. We also toured some spectacular buildings by architects such as Santiago Calatrava, Marion Mahoney, H.H. Richardson, Louis Sullivan, and Mies van der Rohe. Please join us for Bob Roden’s slide presentation.

Participants in the tour are encouraged to bring any pictures or memorabilia they would like to share.
