Morris and Medieval Material Culture

Friday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m.
Room 205, Faculty of Information Studies, 140 St. George Street

Learn about Morris's interest in the relics of the domestic architecture of the Middle Ages in an illustrated lecture, “Morris and Medieval Material Culture,” by Yuri Cowan

Cowan, a doctoral candidate in English at U of T, will show how Morris’s references to such artefacts as books, cups and candles reflect his views on social organization, his emphasis on finding satisfaction in one's work, and his consistent acknowledgement of the diversity of everyday life.
