The Society was treated to a members-only tour of this beautiful Arts and Crafts home this past weekend. Exposed beams and stunning natural light captured our hearts.
The property has been the home of renowned stained glass artist Sarah Hall. The house was built by a builder who worked for Eden Smith and who had built two homes to the east. While designing this house for his sister, the builder was inspired by the Eden Smith style of Arts and Crafts.
The home features many details of craftsman-made ingenuity, such as the large fireplace that stands in the middle of the home, each side heating separate rooms. A window on the second floor is made of vintage glass, radiating natural light.
